Planix 7 and Adaptor Planimeter

The Tamaya Planix 7 (Digital Planimeters) are very precise instruments for quick and accurate determination of areas on blueprints, maps, photographs, drawings, etc. Simply follow the outline of the area with the Planix 7 tracer. The revolution of the measuring wheel to either direction is sensed by the electro shaft-encoder which generates pulses to be processed by the custom-made LSI. Now, the Planix 7 displays the circumscribed area digitally and directly in terms of cm², m², km², in², ft² or acres, depending on your selection. All of the time-consuming table references and computation required with conventional mechanical Planimeters have become outdated.

Compact cordless operation unit - Thirty (30) operating hours by rechargeable Ni-Cad, battery alone.

Standard AC adaptor - each unit is supplied with an AC adaptor/recharger unit

Battery power saving provision - The power is automatically turned off when the unit is left un-operated for more than three minutes.

Zero setting by a push button.

Automatic area computation by selected scale factors.

Backup memory for scale factor - The scale factor is stored when power switch is turned off.

Metric or English scale convertible - Selection on either Metric or English scales, to be displayed in terms of cm², m², km², in², ft² or acre

Automatic shift of the display unit - When a certain area cannot be covered by square centimetre (cm²) display because of overflow, the display unit shifts automatically to square meter (m²), and to square kilometre (km²). Likewise the shift is made from in² to ft², and to acre.

Averaging of multiple measurements - The same area measured several times may be averaged by a single push button.

Display hold - The measured figure on the display is frozen by a "hold" button to prevent an inadvertent loss of the result.

Accumulative measurement - When the previous measurement frozen on the display by the "hold" button is released accumulative measurements are made on top of it.
