Haglof Vertex IV
Haglof's number one best seller for
the accurate height, distance and horizontal distance measuring you
need in the field! The Vertex IV also acquires accurate readings in
thick under-growth and measures an unlimited number of heights per
object from any distance up to 30 meters.
The Vertex IV uses
ultrasound to measure distances. Unlike, for example, measuring tapes
and laser instruments, ultrasound can be used when there is no clear
line of sight to the reference point. The ultrasound chooses the
shortest way around any obstacle such as brush and stems.
Heights
are calculated trigonometrically using the variables contained when
measuring angle and distance. The Vertex IV automatically assumes that
the measuring object is perpendicularly positioned to the ground.
Small
and robust, the Vertex IV has an aluminium housing, sealed electronics
and a large, easy-to-read alphanumerical display. A built-in tilt
sensor allows for exact height measuring on slopes or hills. Easy
calibration and built-in Bluetooth transmitter for direct transfer of
measurement results for external storage and processing.
Transponder
The transponder T3 is used together with the Vertex IV. The T3 is water
resistant , rugged and has a simple construction in a bright, visible
colour. Works with one AA battery. Pin the transponder directly onto
the tree stem or fasten with the adapter to the plot staff for 360º
measuring.
